THE COMPANY
Recognition since 1991, pointed at the port.
Adaptive Recognition has been building automatic number plate recognition since 1991. Adaptive Port Systems is the division that points that work at the port: six modular subsystems, the recognition engines that run them, and one data layer underneath.
The cameras, readers and engines are made by Adaptive Recognition Hungary Zrt. in Budapest. The port business — the commercial relationship, the deployment and the lifecycle support behind every installation — is run from Copenhagen by Adaptive Recognition Global Services ApS (ARGS).
SCOPE OF SUPPLY
What we deliver — and what stays yours.
We supply the recognition layer: the cameras, the readers, the engines that turn a moving vehicle into a record, and the data platform underneath. The lane itself — its civils, its power, its steel and its screens — is procured and installed by you or your integrator, to your own standards and suppliers.

- Carmen recognition engines — FreeFlow, ADR and make-and-model
- Triggering and profiling sensors, and the industrial gate control PC

- Self-service kiosks and the software running on them
- Barriers, traffic lamps, LED displays and driver signage
- Weigh-in-motion systems — third-party equipment, procured separately
- Electrical cabinets, power supplies, infrastructure, cabling and network
- Gantries, foundations, road works and all civil works
- Integration into your ticketing system, TOS or customs systems
Automation, integration and validation stay with your own systems. We identify the vehicle, read the document and hand over the record; what happens next is decided by the port.

Device health, lane status and data flow watched around the clock, so a failing camera is known before a queue forms.
