Where each subsystem sits, from the public road to the ship's ramp — and the data centre they all report to. The accent marks what Adaptive Recognition puts on the ground; everything in grey is the port itself.
Schematic, not a site plan — every terminal is laid out differently, and the subsystems are modular: take one, take three, take all six. Kiosks, barriers, signage, the gantries and the civil works shown in grey are procured and installed by the port or its integrator.

ANPR cameras, passenger detection, document reading, and the Globessey Data Server work as one integrated solution — each subsystem handling one critical stage of the port journey, from gate to yard to deck. Third-party lane equipment such as weigh-in-motion, RFID, kiosks and barriers is integrated alongside them, not replaced by them. Modular, proven, and built to scale.

Adaptive Approach Gate
First-line vehicle screening at the port boundary.
Multi-lane ANPR identifies every approaching vehicle while classification, dimension, and speed measurement happen in a single pass — before vehicles even reach the gate.

Adaptive Freight Gate
High-precision processing for commercial freight.
Every truck is identified, measured, and inspected as it passes through the gate. ADR/IMO hazmat codes are recognized automatically, side cameras scan for damage, and axle counting drives accurate tariff calculation.

Adaptive Passenger Gate
Accurate passenger counting without stopping the flow.
IR-based occupancy detection works through tinted glass to count every passenger in the vehicle. Front, rear, and third-row detection means accurate manifests even when cars roll past at full speed.

Adaptive Check-In Gate
Validate vehicles against bookings in real time.
Einar cameras read the plate and the Osmond Advanced Passport Reader captures the travel document at the lane. Both are bound into one identity record and handed to your check-in system, which clears the booking and releases the vehicle.

Adaptive Deck Loading Monitor
Two stages of Ro-Ro loading under camera.
Vidar smart cameras around the ramps record what actually drove aboard — and what drove off again. On board, Intellio cameras follow every vehicle to its final deck position. Real-time visibility into the loading sequence significantly reduces turnaround time and prevents costly misloads.

Adaptive Mobile Yard Scanner
Turn every Tugmaster into a moving inventory scanner.
Three Lynet smart cameras on each yard tractor read every licence plate and trailer unit number as the Tugmaster moves through the yard. Time-stamped, GPS-tagged reads stream into the yard inventory in real time.

How long does deployment take?
Typical full-stack deployment runs 3 to 6 months from contract to go-live, depending on lane count and site readiness. Phased rollouts are supported.
Do you sell hardware only, or hardware plus software?
Both — within our own scope. We supply the recognition layer: cameras, document readers, the Carmen engines and the Globessey Data Server, plus lifecycle services through ARGS. Kiosks, barriers, LED signage, weigh-in-motion and the civil works are procured and installed by you or your integrator.
Who installs the kiosks, barriers and signage?
Your integrator, or whoever you already buy that equipment from. We deliver the cameras, readers, recognition engines and the data platform, and we specify the lane with you — but the steel, the screens, the cabinets, the cabling and the civil works are procured on your side. The same goes for the integration into your ticketing system or TOS: our record arrives through documented APIs, and your system decides what to do with it. Every subsystem page states its own scope of supply in full.
What does the SLA cover?
ARGS provides 24/7 monitoring, hardware replacement, software updates, and incident response. SLA tiers are scoped per customer.
Where is the data stored?
GDS runs on-premise by default. Cloud and hybrid deployments are supported on request. Data residency stays under your control.
What integrations are supported?
REST and SDK access in Java, Python, C#, C++, and PHP. Tested integrations with port IT, ticketing, customs, and traffic management systems.
Are you ready for EES and ETIAS?
Yes. The Osmond Advanced Passport Reader captures and validates the travel document (NFC chip + MRZ) right at the lane, ANPR links it to the vehicle and booking, and GDS stores it under a GDPR-compliant regime — so you recover the throughput EES and ETIAS checks add. The mandated live biometric capture and the immigration decision itself stay with Border Force and the EES kiosks.
